If you're an atheist, and death is the complete absence of consciousness meaning everything, then death means peace with no disturbances, an infinite rest, like going to a dreamless sleep forever, and you will atleast have in common with your patents the inability to feel anything cuz no consciousness

so from basically every world view's perspective as an abstract idea death is good
But our primal parts of the brain are more powerful than our rational parts so we will always be scared of death and be very saddened by death
Also the physical gore, pain, mutilation and suffering are sickening
