I was stalked by a friend for 2 years straight and sent memes, pictures, ytpmvs and drawings of me, and posting about me online. I was silent for 2 years and hiding but then I had enough and told him to stop but then we became ok friends for 4 years. Now he thinks I'm a bad person because of our falling out and is starting the behaviour again, except now he is a more bitter and vicious person rather than just being an autistic caca

I like imageboards because people can't track your post history. Anytime I get involved in an actual community I end up sperging out and everyone just views me as a joke after that. Imageboards let me say whatever I want without fear of people building a negative image of me. I don't even need them to know me irl, them knowing me through an online persona is enough. It's so nice to be free of your digital footprint for once

I think a lot of autistic people can relate to this, that's why we congregate on imageboards where we can't be tracked. We're stuck in this constant cycle of trying to contain ourselves until we inevitably sperg out and either have to leave the community or spend months pretty much being a saint, hoping to be forgiven. It's nice being free of that cycle
