How do I learn to be content with my position in life? My country has gone to shit; we're a laughing stock. Despite this, there are infinitely worse places to live. On one hand, I can't stand the constant bureaucracy and contempt for success here, which really drives me to GTFO despite having zero desirable skills. On the other hand however, I want to improve the situation as much as I can. Is it healthy to let outsider's thoughts negatively drive yours, even if what they're stating is true?

Generally if something’s true, then it doesn’t matter who’s saying it so long as you keep their intentions in mind or something. Being content can only be a good thing if your problems are immutable, and even then, it’s kind of a hylic way of thinking, bordering on complacency. I guess you should try to develop your skills as much as possible to become an unbothered giga and improve your country. I think most countries are shadows of their former selves and laughing stocks in their own right, so it might not be much of a benefit to emigrate unless you’re some sort of third worlder, in which case you should stay in your own country regardless. Whereabout are you from?
