so my friend fit this archetype incredibly well, he had ticked every single performative checkmark and his character was just obnoxious to be around. the characteristics im going to list were his most notable ones, and i guarantee every single nu-male you wil ever meet is like this:
1. aforementioned physical attributes (pic), they try so hard to be individual and creative but they all fit the exact same mold which is so hilarious
2. post-irony aloofness, you can never have a serious conversation since being insincere is the easiest and most natural form to them
3. male manipulator behaviour, these bastards are the most snakish and biggest jews you will ever meet. they will mock you infront of others then pretend to be your concerned friend in private, and if you call out their behaviour or them being hypocritical they absolutely blow up
they're usually the biggest attention-whores and malignant narcissists, begging for attention and never shut the fuck up about themselves

over time, we had always argued about random shit and didn't really enjoy eachothers company but the last straw that broke the camels back was an argument about the ethics of cosmetic surgery, since the topic of micro-fractures (bonesmashing) came up in his biomedicine course, but the way he argued about it was just infuriating and constantly belittling my viewpoints and not listening to anything i was saying
that of which it just ended again in a headache, and i couldnt take his signalling anymore, and ended the friendship by blocking him on everything and leaving the friend group
theres so much to say about him and i could probably structure this way better, but if you see one of your friends exhibiting these behaviours, call it out and have a serious discussion about establishing boundaries, and if there is mutual respect. he always spoke so vaguely and didnt really value our friendship as i thought we did, just keeping me as an excuse to insult or neg, since he was such a miserable bastard to be around. he constantly talked about his depression and showed me his ssris in private and how he zaps himself
