<sorry for wordswordswords but I hope you take the time to read it
I'm sad about the state of my life right now and I don't know what to do. I feel like im at a dead end, and if I don't change something I will be staying the same my entire life, watching my parents get old and die, and then myself, with no change. Advice, or any sort of comment, would be appreciated.

I'm 18 and ive started a pretty decent program where I work and learn at the same time, and my studying costs are subsidised. The only issue is that for this, I can't stay at home and I'm in a DNB shithole in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do. Also, I miss out on the entirety of uni life, with the only other 18 year olds being the dozen or so other people in the same program, otherwise its just older people in the company. I can only really see my family on the weekends when I go stay there. This means that I have a very minimal social life, its been about a month and I already know all the people I will know for the duration of this program, which is about 3.5 years. Then I go home, all my friends from school are off in their unis, and I see my family for too short a period of time to do anything with them either.

I don't really want to leave the program because for my career, there really isn't anything better, I'd have to give all my money to the kikes by taking loans for uni. But even when the program ends, I think I might only stay with that company for a short while, and move to somewhere with more life. I see too many oldfags there that have stayed in the same job, in the same shithole town, from the second they graduated to the day they retire. I cannot possibly do this. There is nobody I know in the area, and nothing happens either, so I reduce my already slim chances of getting a girlfriend to absolutely 0.

I'm just generally depressed about all of this. The only thing that is advancing is my career/education. I would already argue with my family when I lived with them, but now it is extra painful to me knowing that I have less time with them before, and I spend too much of it arguing. During the week, I go drinking with my coworkers once a week, which is basically the only social thing you can do in the town other than bowling, which is too expensive and repetitive to do all the time. I don't want to become an alcoholic, but if i don't go I don't talk to anyone outside of work, and I enjoy the brief period of feeling tipsy. The morning after doesn't feel great though, I don't have headaches or vomit but I just feel ill and I know i shouldn't have drank. I get along with one or two of the people there, but most are normies and do shit with their school friends on the weekends since they live closer, so can't relate to me.

I don't want to use this site but if I don't I feel like I'm the only person going through this and it makes me want to give up. I enjoy the conversations, but it is truly depressing knowing that a DNB imageboard is the place and people with which I socialise, instead of real people that I talk to in person. Does adult life get any better than this? Any advice for what I can do? I'm bored of playing vidya and going online, ive done it for years as my form of entertainment, I need something more real.

I'm aware. Thats why I stay here, I feel like I have some people to relate to. I'm looking for advice or any sort of support. I don't mean to discredit anyone elses struggles, I try to provide help to you guys as well.

>Uni life
"Uni life" is just codeword for whoring around and alcoholism, stop drinking before you make your situation worse. If your town sucks that bad then ditch it and live somewhere else especially since the time you do spend with your family is only arguing then leaving them behind for good shouldn't be too difficult. You're 18, you're not in jail, you don't have a caca to take care of yet, you're not a highschool dropout, and you're not paralyzed in drama with other people, you'll be fine if you can put up with loneliness and learn to live with yourself.

Thank you. I didn't mean whoring around and going to parties necessarily by uni life. At school I quite liked doing clubs and societies, I mean that I'm missing out on that, and the ability to have essentially an infinite amount of people to talk to. Simply the exposure to a couple thousand people my age increases the chances that I'd find someone I really get along with to be friends with, or even find a girlfriend.

I'll try to stop drinking. I think this week I'll skip it, since we have some interesting stuff at work so I won't be as tempted. If I go again I might just drink coke instead or something. I don't hate my family, they aren't abusive or anything so I don't want to cut them off. I can't really do that to my parents, they have supported me a lot in the past and do actually care about me.

As for the town, I think I will try to ditch it and find a job somewhere else the second I finish the program. Maybe like you say I just need to toughen up a bit and put up with it. Would you say getting a driving license ASAP is a good idea? I could live a much further distance from the town I'm in that way and commute, I could even live in the same city I used to, just the opposite part. With the wage I get I would be able to afford driving, it would just mean I get less savings, which frankly I don't know what I'd do with anyway. Its not like I'm buying a house anytime soon.

Driver's license is a good idea yeah. I'm 19 and don't have mine yet geg.

What there is real to do just depends on what there is around where you live, clubs etc. If there really isn't much then getting a driving licence and living somewhere where there is would be a good idea

Same, I feel really behind in life to where I should be

I am several years older than you and honestly you have to lock in. You're an adult man, nobody is ever coming to save you, learn to fight for yourself or you're fucked

I've been waiting for a textbook that my family supposedly has lying around somewhere in the house for the past 2 years so I can study for the driver's test and still no effort has been made to find it

Just look it up on the computer, It's really not that deep. Literally just look up "[state] drivers manual"

Yeah, you should be able to find all of the info you need online, if you’d prefer to study with a physical book then I guess just get on their ass about looking for it
