If youre a girl, you can, because its seen as normal, but a man is meant to be stoic and not be sensitive. I tried talking to my parents about shit when i was in my early teens, but it didnt really work out, and i realised it just wasn't worth making my mother worry about me by telling her shit. I dont share anything other than really major events like when I stopped hanging out with my best friend because he was manipulating some girl and being nasty.
I would mostly talk to friends about shit during school, it was ok but id didnt really help too much. Subconsciously people do register you as lesser because of it. Also, like you, all my friends drifted away, and i have nobody. Im in the process of making new ones at work but its probably best to keep any thoughts to myself.
Therapy only really works if you dont even know the core problem, or if you want to be pumped full of antidepressants so you dont have to feel anything ever. Most men know exactly what the root cause of their problems are, we simply dont have the means to solve them, normally being social problems like being lonely or a khhv. All we need is someone to relate to us, or someone to talk to about it. You COULD use a therapist for this, but why pay so much. I just use /r9k/ for it, its the best thing ive found so far, otherwise you can try finding some people online to play vidya with and talk to over a call. Its best if you know them separately from everyone else in your life and they cant actually tell anyone else that matters.
