Goddamnit, that’s me as well. I thought I’d at least get a good job, but my grades have been declining since I started college, even though the only thing I do is homework

I’m really insecure about having no particular hobbies/talents
â„–104623[Quote]
>>104621I’m not even insecure, just fixated on it. I think I got so used to it that I don’t really feel any way about it, but I think about it constantly. Nothing even sounds appealing other than running and shooting, but I don’t actually enjoy either one

Just cheat
I do that on openfront.io and I’m slowly getting better than my friends
Just don’t get caught

Dont worry about it. You can always get hobbies, and with time you'll get better at them. Talent is like genetics for exercise, those with great genes can exercise very little and look very good while those with bad genes need to exercise a lot, but having good genetics on its own isn't enough, exercise and workout is what makes you good.
If you are interested in hobbies you can start building model kits, find some books you'll find interesting, try origami, board game, maybe draw etc. Dont stress yourself because you aren't good at it, it will take time, even after a lot of time youll feel like you don't progress, thats fine too, i know how it can feel demoralising. The most important thing is to enjoy your hobbies, dont force yourself and, if you are insecure, dont share them.
Also, you can enjoy vidya still.

talent is nothing, I learned this by drawing as someone with "talent" in one aspect of it and aptitude deficiency in another. No amount of talent will fix your skill. Training the right way will progress you 10x the normal rate. For that the field has been chunked into various subfields by masters before your parents were born. But you just want to grind so you don't pick up anything from them.
The truth is that what you see in supposedly talent-gated field is galactic amounts of survivorship bias. People who lucked into doing what they were supposed to by accident, stage by stage, while 100s of almost identical speds got filtered or stagnated and never progressed. The truth is humans are massive hack retards and you're one of them.

why do you give a shit about whether someone else is better at videogames than you, it literally doesnt matter.

Actually get your shit together and do something. If you want to draw, start out by just drawing whatever you want and getting inspiration. You don't have to be an infant Don Bluth just to be good at art, just keep doing it and you'll be good eventually.
