Im sorry for you OP. Do you have any friends at all you could ask the teacher to allow for a group of 3 with? Or are you just going to tough it out as a stone-cold truecel?

Please remember that school is just a small part of your greater life. It will all be over soon, and you should be able to move onto something better and more interesting. People individually never change, but you can find other groups of them to be around. It VVILL get better

Lucky. Having full control of the project was always better for me. most of the groupmates I had were incompetent and slowed everything down.

I do have two friends in that class. We sit together and have studied together outside of class.
We def would have been together had there not been a rule against groups of three (unless the prof changes his mind). The signup sheet only had two lines per time slot. It’s ultimately just unlucky, since the way the signup sheet was passed around it ended up with both of them first who signed up together. If it came from the other direction I likely would have been with one of them.
It’s not like a slideshow speaking presentation or whatever. It’s an actual skills demonstration where you go down to the professor’s professional practice in the town and do some hands-on work.
I don’t have a car and I only know a friend of a friend who does, so I might just have to walk the mile down there myself. Which I’ve done before to get my computer fixed because I didnt want to bother asking anyone. I also walked down there for fun to get some food with my good friend who was my roommate last year (who has a car funnily enough) but he is not here this semester.
It’ll be awkward but whatever. I’m competent enough.
Not the first time I’ve been leftover scraps. Several times in middle school I just got left out and had to do stuff my myself. One time in junior year of HS (lmao) the teacher had everyone self-sort into groups and I couldn’t fit in so after 5 minutes when most people were already working I had to go up to the teacher and asked to be assigned to one. (Makes me cringe and laugh just to remember.) Interestingly I never got picked last for PE sports since I’m pretty lean and fast.
So yeah I guess it’s just an unlucky roll of the dice that I’m alone this time. But it just feels like pretty par for the course and I should’ve expected it.

Ive always been a spiteful SLF for group projects. If you need to, do it all yourself. But leave a large label saying "By XYZ" at the bottom of every single slide, and present the whole fucking thing. Check the document right before presenting to make sure its not been edited. If they cannot be arsed, make sure it is known. Throw them all under the bus. Again, its SLF chud behaviour, but i couldnt give less of a shit. If they cant even be arsed to make a slide or two with AI they deserve it.

lol i'm a little bitch and have never done that. i did a whole presentation literally by myself, the graphics, the voice-over, everything. got an A- and they got the same grade. they're all popular and they probably don't even remember i was in their group.
