i also sometimes have dreams after a day of hard work or a day of sickness that feel like what I imagine psychedelic drugs to feel like. it's like i suddenly understand what it would be like to have a really different life from my own, like i understand how it would feel to be a serial killer or a crackhead or a caveman

my dreams would contain everyday normal things, like liminal spaces but for whatever reason, i dont see any monsters or anything scary but my heart would be racing and i would be extremely terrified
scared for no reason i guess, it might be some adrenaline fight or flight dysfunction

My only recurring dream is something similar to this, since i was like 8 or something ive had dreams of walking through an empty city with impossibly large buildings, and for some reason it triggers the fear responses. Normally its then followed by ending up in some tiny piece of land with a small path through some woods and it feels like im in an artificial dome
