this is fucking dogshit and doesn't deserve to call itself FPE 2, literally the majority of AU's are more coherent and better executed than this.
thesmc15's real life sculptures seemed sovlful at first, but the poor execution on some aspects drags it way down, particularly in terms of the video's pacing (they should've found something better than looping footage of the ambulance driving to fill all that time at 1:53), also the fatality at 2:53 looks so retarded and awkward it was unreal, he should've gone through the effort of drawing wounds on and gluing on strips of red construction paper rather than just crumpling the miss bloomie thing.
I also feel like Miss Circle would kill Saaskaraa2500 if xhey took her class because the pie charts at 1:18 make no fucking sense whatsoever
The absolute worst part was at 3:17, these ohioese knockoff bionicles or whatever that randomly appeared on screen have no intelligible correlation with what came before, it's impossible to tell who the fuck is who.
It also took me like 4 replays to understand what was going on in Aquillo's section either
overall it's clear that FFJIEF and Makimaker were the MVP's of this production, I wouldn't mind seeing more animations by them. I would also be interested in thesmc15's future work if his skill improves. But as a whole, the video is just bad. The plot feels uninspired and chosen at random, like just random things happening that loosely fit to a degree with the characters' portrayals in the original (although this is arguable for Miss Grace). And asides from what the other guy said, as a sequel it fails to acknowledge or deliver on the final moments of FPE by including anything about what kind of punishment Oliver and Zip received. This compounds to make the subplot of "Oliver… guiding the recently released Alice." (quoted from video description) especially dissatisfying. If he could just walk up to her room, open the door, and then walk with her over to the teachers and watch as she kills them, and this is something that he not just could but would do, why would he not have done that before? In the original he had an actual look of fear on his face when the teacher trio confronted him and zip, it stands to reason there are at least social reasons at play in that.
All of the scenes also seemed barren of background characters relative to the original. I also feel like they missed the opportunity to try to match the level of intertextuality and thematic cohesion in FPE by having the events of the animation parallel or visually reference Nichijou in some way since they chose My Ordinary Life as the song, the song feels disconnected from the animation, especially since it fails to have the mood of the events in the animation match the current moment in the song either.
