<learn a DAW and start copying your favorite songs
>learn the keys on the piano and start regularly practicing an instrument of your choosing
<ableton and fl studio are the best. pick whichever you like.
everything you learn will be from running into problems with these two things. ideas for your own music will come if you don't have them already.

>>1028027didnt see this reppy.
you just need to break it into smaller parts. start with learning how to make a melody on a track, then how to add drums. and so on. You'll pick up all the minutiae of Fl over time if you keep at it.

>>1029487>>1029488In what order should I start assembling the music? Like, should I do the drums first, then the bass and then treble? Or start with the bass first?
>learn the keys on the piano and start regularly practicing an instrument of your choosingI'm actually more interested in composing music than being able to play an instrument, but the thing is I have actual instruments available and it'd feel like a waste not to use them, will learning to play them help with composing stuff?
№1030465[Quote]
>>1029502<what orderit doesnt really matter. its generally better to start with the melody or chords.
<will learning them help with composing?Yes, exactly! Piano in particular. If you open your daw you'll see all the programming is done on a piano roll, and it also gives you the most immediate understanding of chords, scales, and keys. Concepts which will apply to all the instruments in your compositions.
