I remember the day my dad switched our Windows XP computer out for a Windows 7 one and it felt so soulless. Plus my PC games didn't work on it. Sure it was faster but something was gone.
Sometimes I think about customizing Windows 11 to resemble XP more, with the sounds and graphics, but it seems maladaptive - like trying to cling onto the past.
The whole process of growing up in the 2000s and then the 2010s was seeing everything cool slowly fade away.
