nothing, I only removed things: deleted all Metro UI apps, internet explorer, DWM, however the most of System32 exe files were preserved, because they have use. It boots you straight to the command prompt, which is better than desktop.

I choose 8 because it's more light and feels snappier. Essentially 8, 10 and 11 are the same, except that the latter two use UWP instead of Modern/Metro UI. And disabling dwm works better 8, because there are hardly any apps that depend on it.
