so it really depends on the friends you make along the way…
and how much everyone cared about each other… Because on deployments people are more lenient if they are wise as to people being stressed out…

but the book worm officers who wont do real shit can be pretty bad.

I agree, it's the best option out of them all.

I almost joined the navy once, this was like a few months ago, I wanted to see if I could and shit, and since I loved the ocean, it was perfect. I went in signed everything then had another appointment at 11am the next day, I forgot about it and the recruiter ghosted me lol so Ig it wasn't meant to be.

Then I looked to join the marines, cuz im a big tough guy and shit, but before I met a group of 4 marines at a In N out, all of them were older than me, and all of them were nerd/faggot 5'4 tall and super skinny. I was towering over them and I was shocked they were marines since I was way younger than them.

Then I learned most new bootcamps recruits are non-white Mexicans, and Id rather spend my life in a community college than be in a room full of bald Mexicans while being yelled by another Mexican. If it was the 1990s I would have joined no doubt.

I wanted to be a seal too…

I recommend coast guard cook, simple, lots of variety of on-base, and ship cooking, they are willing to train you to cook, and they have a great bonus for it…

this is a slightly more labor intensive job than it seems, and you can get the training and college afterwards to run ur own business maybe even restaurant…

Oh.. Yeah cross branch movement is possible, even in my post-basic training AIT, we had ranger recruiters come in trying to recruit the best, and a general or collonel can get that paperwork written up super fast.

if you're physically good enough, it's also a way to fast track to officer, but you sign on to longer mil contract off the bat… They send u to mil school just for physical performance, or intelligence, or good merit…

its called dropping an officer packet, and if you're approved, you'll go to america's mil academy where you can study math, sicence, or mil history for a major…

if ur that hardcore fit, u can. that's one of the three paths.
