Autism is real but I think ADHD is just behavioural problems from lack of childhood discipline.

They are real deficits but there are so many different diseases that can cause those presentations that I don't believe they are specific things with a common mechanism since they don't usually even do biological screening to rule out other explanations in most cases.

Some of the people with ADHD could just be anaemic for we all know and autism has become a catch all for general developmental delay, which can be caused by all kinds of things and it's interesting that autism is correlated with many of them. Like for example eating disorders, gut issues and sleep disorders. People always think about the relation one way, which is that autistic tendencies make you more restrictive with food but they never think how not eating properly and being malnourished also feeds into retardation and restrictive behaviour (look up the symptoms for various vitamin and mineral deficiencies and how they can also factor into sleep). Gut issues can also deficiencies and poor sleep, even without disordered eating. Autism is correlated with baby faces and a baby face is another sign of malnourishment. Imagine taking a normal child and depriving them of proper food and also purposely disrupting their sleep from a young age. The result is someone you would believe is genuinely an autist.

Also, environment vs genetics is a false dichotomy because the environment can cause epigenetic changes that can be transmitted from generation to generation so for all we know some autists just had crackhead mothers. There isn't a particular gene, there are hundreds of them and most of them individually have low impact but they add up when you have enough of them.
