How can we end our dependence on fossil fuels?
Energy is one thing, try powering a plane with a battery, but I never hear anyone talk about byproducts that fossil fuels produce that we need. Some include plastic, fertilizer, pharmaceuticals, antifreeze, lubricants, rubber, wax, and polyester. Your likely sitting on oil byproducts, wearing them, and using them to read this post right now.

in fact ,we should only use fossil fuels and ban green energy

1. go nuclear
2. go renewable energies

For now there is no other option but i agree with always researching new fuel sources

Well it's very hard to drop fossil fuels since it's for everything and everybody use it.
We can reduce the usage by mixxing it with others maybe? Like instant of plastic straw what about Paper + plastics straw instant it won't be strong as Plastic but still usable.
For fertilizer we can use decompose and shits.
Rubber is needed sadly.
Polyester can be drop if people don't wear it, I only wear Cotton based products so if people buy less the products will drop.
For the energy we can use nuclear since it's free, solar panel, Air energy etc It won't be good as fuel but still fill up for the replacement.

Coal is practically endless tbh.
