I know I'll get a bunch of shit for this,
But aboriginal australians couldn't have gotten to building ships and a progressed society cuz the Australian landscape is near impossible to survive and expand on so they couldn't have possibly done any meaningful evploution. Furthermore the way they figured out life was to move around with the seasons to places with the food during certain seasons.
I only know this cuz it's what they feed us 'teens at school.

I don't think so alot of people had built in even worse places they are just special to me.
They can settle in coastal area just like white did but they didn't tho.

They settled in coastal area and brought their own animals that they could farm off of.
Natively Australia doesn't have any animals that you can have a farm with, the closest thing to a cow was a kangaroo, crocodile and emu, three offensive animals.

Literally every single historical map shows Australia as empty before the British arrived.
At least Africans and Native Americans managed to make some relativity advanced civilizations and empires (Inca, Maya, Aztec, you already know them) meanwhile nophono is able to name at least 3 aboriginal tribes.

I onces imagined an alternate timeline where some Aboriginal tribes formed an advanced civilization, later turning into various countries that fought wars with trained kangaroos and platypus but that's fantasy so far-fetched it makes dungeons and dragons look realistic.

The Sheny tribe, the Nigerpopo, and the goners
