personally, i think that the current "leadership" isn't very stable. you've got the supreme leader, the IRGC, and other political figures. this war has greatly shifted the distribution of power in iran, and hence no one really knows what they want. do they really want to stop the pursuit of a nuclear weapon? do they really want to stop financing their proxies? do they really want to lose power over the strait of hormuz? no one knows, in my view, not even them.

so, just continuing the bombing won't really change the situation i believe they are in.

the IRGC wants to keep the "right" of making nuclear weapons, which i belive to be the most powerful people in iranian politics currently. the ayatollah might approve of this deal, however, he most likely won't give up the proxies. and the other political groups just don't have enough political power.
