>>3270329 (OP)The type specifically has "alpinoid" in it, its not a true alpinid but rather the result of alpinization of larger, berberid types. "Oid" means "like", so for instance if you say someone is "turanoid" it means they're turanid-like. They don't have any true genetic relation to alpinids.
