I've been saying this for years, there is a direct correlation between intelligence and general tolerance towards auditory stimuli. Naturally, spergs don't count because they freak out when they hear loud noises even though most of them are complete retards. But talking about normal people, however, the smartest people I know always prefer silence, while low IQs love chimping around, screaming and making noise all day. Countries with retarded or borderline retarded populations (Africa, Middle East, Central Asia) all have "kulchures" where there is fucking noise everywhere, they scream at each other, they scream at nothing just for lols, they react to anything with loud screaming, they talk and talk and talk non stop every day and they're always loud when they talk, tajiks and uzbeks love riding public transport while screaming at their monkey buddies through whatsapp video calls. Meanwhile all the high IQ cultures like Japan or Norway are extremely quiet and calm. Notably, Japan's neighbor China has a very loud and chimpish culture, which is just one more piece of evidence that their average IQ stats are fake just like everything else that comes out of China, and that their actual average IQ is in the high 80s low 90s.

Their average IQ is like 90-92 at best. What you don't realize is that there are people in China outside of Shanghai and Beijing. Yes, city dwellers have an average IQ in the mid to high 90s probably, but there hundreds of millions of chinks who live in literal villages and had not heard about the internet until 5 years ago.
