This is because sexual obsession is an incredibly hard thing for men to overcome. Especially younger men, and especially in a world were media and entertainment is full of porn. He even admits to being a World of Warcraft addict right from the start, and that game was very well known to be full of overly sexualized women for the first several years of its life. To him, being surrounded by pornographic things all the time is normal. Many millennials also suffer from this negative mindset.
But it has warped the men in a way that it couldn't warp women, due to the naturally stronger sexual drive of men. The demand for porn intensified, and this resulted in a massive increase in women selling themselves on onlyfans and other places, and even an explosion of pornographic "fan"art of all entertainment. And the most puzzling part is that feminism pushed women towards feeding the porn addiction of weak men, portraying "sexwork" as empowering, despite the fact that men are the ones who are demanding it from them.
Personally, I don't believe this was an accident. The sexual revolution marches ever onwards because the elites of society have harnessed sex and use it as one of their most powerful, insidious tools of control over society.
