>>3187906for you to understand my next few arguments, i believe the us government is a currency issuer and not a currency user, so it doesn't actually matter if there is a deficit in the system, only the threat of inflation it brings.
i think the current cultural status of blacks in america today are fucked, and yeah its going to take a while for them to elevate to the same place as white people. i think we should think less about giving benefits and providing for welfare queens and more about providing meaningful jobs and stuff. but yeah i totally agree that, under the current regime, blacks take more than they give
and yeah sorry i wasn't really clear on this part, basically i want a job guarantee program + more government spending while reducing the amount of treasuries + decreasing interest rates we sell to increase demand (because more people will have more money), which will increase wages. i think that immigrants can help increase the real productive capacities of america, if we can manage and train them right that is.
the point is to make places like detroit more attractive by tightening the labor supply, which will make businesses want to start promoting things like remote work (right now there is HUGE inefficiency in corporations because they don't have incentive to innovate enough), which will raise the wages in places like detroit, which will attract more people there, which will smooth out the housing price overall. i do think that yes, crime is driving away people from these places, and i do agree that it might be hard to try and get people to move there. but hopefully we can get local law enforcement to step up and crack down on it
i totally agree with your last point. deporting all of the immigrants right now would ABSOLUTELY relieve the housing crisis. but if we have a better option in front of us, which utilizes immigrants productively, why not choose that?
