2. Be honest and fair in treatment (when it comes to elites in particular) (self interest is expected within reason)
3. NEVER go back on your word or play dirty without proper cause
Trust is the most valuable commodity in politics. Accrued slowly and once broken never regained. Losing the trust of the elites is by most measures career suicide. Fishback will now likely never be trusted by politicians because he was, and so publicly, willing to go back on his word, and not pay his debts specifically to lawyers who, by the way, are what most politicians are.
