You can only really get 6-9 IQ points per generation maximum with the best embryo selection, 'gene editing' isn't a thing yet. And is really expensive, it goes up with the amount of fertilized eggs you want frozen.
Its also really expensive it would only in increase gaps in the future as those more wealthy and in the developed world would get access way before the wretches of the world, which are in the billions.

If you mean actual gene editing then IDK how you think we're close to that at all… We can't even protein code and the actual genetics behind behavioral traits are really hard to find with even today's GWAS, the gene variants are sparse and for polygenic traits like intelligence they're in the billions with different variants expressing differently. Your best hope is advancing embryo selection but they're already labeling it eugenics and shit
