Ev&o most philosophers of science are compatabalists about free will and determinism is seen as the chuddy option since a lot of them reduce a lot of it to genetics

For Schopenhauer, the Will is the true essence of reality.
It is not conscious or rational
It is a blind, irrational force
It exists everywhere-in humans, animals, nature, even physical forces
He thought that what we see (objects, people, the world) is just appearance, but underneath it all is this driving force constantly striving and pushing.
