that's one solution if the mods don't want to get rid of namefagging entirely but still keep the board alive
of course one could say "but it's up to the sentient community what they're are pointing their attention toward", but I suspect that the newcomers are the ones most prone to the temptation of namefagging and fueling the drama, and these solutions can mitigate that
