>>3090331basically cts1273 was picked up almost entirely by a steppe group and its history of expansion has been steppe mediated throughout it's whole history
The youngest clades are found in the Balkans, which is ironically where it's highest. The expansion of V13 centered from the steppe groups of CW and Yamnaya around the Bronze Age Aryan invasion of Europe. L540 is almost exclusively centered in Scandinavia/Germany and came 2,000 years ago, which would be indicative that its predecessor (CTS1273) came from the CW groups that inhabited these areas, and then spread through celto-germanic contacts.
Not to mention the scythian samples of V13, Ossetian V13, and the far eastern V13 adna/modern samples should point to a steppe mediated invasion of the Balkans rather than a Balkan-outwards expansion.
>Another thing is that just L540 and Z16663 are missing from the Southern Balkans for now (The Pontic Greeks are Eastern Anatolian, not Balkanites), which proves that E-V13 originally expanded into the Balkans and not from it.it's a very strange HG, people like to claim that it entered europe through Spain because that's the oldest one found but that sample eventually came out to be L618+ and V13-.
>The really big news to me, the first real data, is from the context of Santana de Mures. I mean in a overwhelmingly Germanic environment, E-V13 is at the same level as I-M253…
