Whether it's Fuentes or someone else, shooting someone who doesn't do anything more than be mildly famous on the internet for talking about politics doesn't accomplish anything besides boosting the narrative. If somebody wanted to actually do damage to the current Republican establishment they'd blow Vance's brains out. At this point Trump is arguably too senile or otherwise incompetent to actually accomplish much of anything so all that removing him would do is give Vance power and an excuse to go fucking nuts. Taking out Vance instead entirely fucks the most likely post-Trump plans of the Republican party and leaves Trump scrambling to clean up the aftermath for the rest of his term
