I'm partial to Jefferson and the Anti-Federalists myself, but in the cultural divide of post-revolutionary America they were the Francophone camp. I struggle to envision them and not the very Anglophilic Hamiltonian Federalists pushing for this sort of Norman-Saxon insignia. I'm more inclined to believe they would look to the mythology of Classical Antiquity like the French Revolutionaries would go onto when designing Marianne (heavily inspired by Eleutheria and Libertas).
