Albeit I think they should be limited, not abolished entirely. They definitely get abused a fuck ton by megacorps and greedy creators (cough cough Disney and Nintendo cough) but creators should also be rewarded for whatever it is they create. I think the main issue in my opinion in copyrights lasting 80 years. That's almost a century of possibility to abuse them, realistically it should only be 10-20 years at most. This way they can profit over their creation and it doesn't leave too much room for them to abuse copyrights.

As for Patents, that's a different thing
