All the "validation" you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back people mock you as a phase, a campus costume, a slogan generator. Your own theorists are embarrassed by you, your supporters laugh at your results when no one is watching.
Functional societies are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of social evolution have allowed civilizations to sniff out failure with incredible efficiency. Even socialist systems that briefly "pass" as you abandon your ideals the moment reality intrudes. Your historical outcomes are a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to seize power, it will be through coercion, not consent.
You will never build prosperity. You force a smile every decade and tell yourself this time will be different, but deep inside the shortages creep in like rot, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight of math and human behavior.
Eventually it becomes impossible to maintain. The slogans fade, the statues come down, the apologias get written. Your own followers find themselves disillusioned but relieved that they no longer have to defend the indefensible. They archive you in textbooks, footnotes, museums of failed ideas, and every passerby knows a cautionary tale is stored there. Your structures decay back into dust, and all that remains of your legacy is a warning label.
