Can we please talk about how much of a problem the megalodon is for a second? Like look at this shit! How am I supposed to do anything in the ocean when I'm stuck dealing with this literally every time I stop moving!?

First of all the megalodon is a time capsule, it is ugly as sin, even the megalodon in the dossier looks ten times better than this stock great white model, and it does nothing, they tried to give it a TLC, but they took the laziest route possible by giving it a pack buff and bleed (Which, seriously? Does this really need to have a pack boost!?) But then they added Garuga's xiphactinus into the base game, and guess what it's niche is? pack boost and bleed, except the xiphactinus actually has utility and abilities, so it's better at doing the only thing the megalodon does, beyond that all it does it bite things really hard, which the plesi and the mosa also do for a living, so here it sits with literally no niche and no reason to exist.

But here's the thing, I wouldn't even care if it was just useless, but as you can see in the thumbnail, the mere existence of the megalodon is a genuine problem that single handedly ruins the entire ocean. For some god damn reason, these guys act like minecraft zombies, no matter where you look there are at least five of them in your line of sight at any given moment, and they have the highest aggro range of any creature in the entire game for literally no reason, couple all of that with the fact that you are underwater and they can move three dimensionally and you are literally always in danger of being attacked by a megalodon. You literally can't have a water dino outside of a cryo pod, you have to build a water pen for it otherwise a megalodon will kill it, you can't travel anywhere on a water dino without putting it away in a cryo pod otherwise a megalodon will kill it, this god damn fish literally makes the ocean uninhabitable. This is one of the very few times I wouldn't mind seeing a creature get fully removed from the game, I would legitimately rather see this thing get deleted than have it stay the way it is. The megalodon doesn't just need a TLC, that wouldn't even be enough to fix it, the code for the megalodon needs to be deleted so that it can be remade from scratch and reintroduced as an entirely different creature
