>>2715390It was nothing but sheer naval incompetence rooted in the decisions made under his predecessor alexander III. If the baltic fleet had arrived on time they would have crushed the japs instead these retards mistook a british ship for a japanese one opened fire and nearly managed to diplomatically isolate russia from every major western european power

>>2715415Besides I've talked to old orthodox priests that said that the Tsar was aware in advance of the rally at the winter palace, and that it was planned days ahead with religious leaders, and that he gave the orders to fire on the group anyway. But that's just one quote and idk what books except old russian diaries that might be in and where those might be.

>>2715430Actually true. I will admit that most of my political admiration of Tsar Nicholas II is to make Communists mad and would be more accurately expressed as a love for the Tsardom itself. That being said, the Romanovs did take their death at the hands of militant athiests with dignity, and they will still be accordingly glorified in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Let me ask: why is Tsar Nicholas held up to such a uniquely high standard as opposed to other leaders at the time? Surely Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, etc. made similar such blunders. I believe it is at least slightly rooted in lingering Soviet propaganda used to justify the execution of the Romanovs.

â„–2715475[Quote]
>>2715465It's that people started having reading, listening, and talking and comparing themselves to western europe more which was far ahead, russia has long been the joke of being 200 years behind the rest of europe, and in a lot of ways that was true… although the tsars did industrialize, they didnt let people have the councils and parliament that would have helped them feel respected or guaranteed their rights, if that was present, then commies would have had far less support and probably failed
