Plenty of reasons to criticize Trump but it sounds like you're doing it from the position of a leftist faggot.

I was willing to give him a genuine chance his first term but he threw out basically all goodwill literally a week in and it's only gotten worse from there

Look, as someone who's old enough to have experienced the climate shifting over just a few decades, putting a gag order on the EPA a literal week into his first term was utter retardation, and he's only gotten dumber as the years have gone on

so tell me whats so bad about CO2 and releasing it?

 β„–2687648[Quote]

>>2687624
Most of that CO has been removed from the system for hundreds of millions of years, current ecosystems have evolved for all that time without it and we're reintroducing it incredibly quickly. Life on Earth as a whole will endure but it's not going to be pretty

 β„–2687668[Quote]

Increased humidity and CO2 will result in increased plants growth and they will remove the CO2 by feeding on it. Isn't that true?

it doesn't take a genius to put 2 and 2 together, global warming is just natural behavior of a planet like earth that has routine ice ages…

high amounts of co2 cause the greenhouse effect which heats up the planet and melts icebergs which causes coastlines to retract
the bs you are bringing up is completely irrelevant to anything

Plants are good but they're not that good, retard. All the coal we burn comes from a period where fungi hadn't figured out how to break down wood yet. The mechanisms to lock away that level of carbon no longer exist on the planet, dumbass.

 β„–2687793[Quote]

>>2687790
why are you ignoring that plants grow into more deserts and fix the co2 and turn it into sugar, solar energy in such a greened desert no longer converts to heat energy, it's fixed into chemical energy, and the earth cools.

once again, cold and warm periods are cyclical over tens of thousands of years.

 β„–2687848[Quote]

>>2687790
Oil and gas make up for more CO2 emissions than coal, so it has little to do with fungi, retard.
>>2687793
Besides, this

 β„–2687859[Quote]

Being tricked into "maintaining" a homeostatic system is truly a next level of retardation.
Of course there will be weather abnormalities, but you should prepare for the transition period, not try to hold or reverse it, because it's simply impossible with the current technology.

 β„–2687862[Quote]

>>2687848
Oil and gas are from the same exact source nigger. It all originates from the fucking Carboniferous period when the trees couldn't rot

 β„–2687885[Quote]

>>2687862
No, they are mostly from Mesozoic and Cenozoic when the trees could rot.

 β„–2687887[Quote]

While the intense heat and pressure from the earth can transform surface based carbons and hydrogens into combustible materials. I am under the belief that the earth naturally makes coals, oils, natural gas from carbon and hydrogen molecules which are abundant within under intense heat and pressure, and im not the only person who has held these views.

such natural processes were attempted 80 years ago with success in laboratories.

That quite literally isn't efficient enough to keep up with what we're putting into the atmosphere right now.

>>2687859
It has nothing to do with maintaining a homestatic system, we're introducing absurd amounts of CO2 into a system that quite literally is not remotely equipped to handle it and hasn't been equipped to handle it for eons.

>>2687885
You are right, I fucked that up, was writing shit quickly because I was busy and misremembered, I will concede that. Doesn't change the fact that we're outpacing the system though

>>2687893
It doesn't have to, anybody concerned about the climate with half a functioning brain cell advocates for nuclear over fossil fuels

>>2687895
The concern there is that that process isn't actively removing carbon from the atmosphere, at least not at a pace anywhere near what we'd need

 β„–2687916[Quote]

 β„–2687933[Quote]

>>2687916
Nigger you do realize that plants don't only consume CO2, right? Outside of weird fuckass bacteria literally everything on the planet consumes oxygen for basic cellular respiration, plants included. They do overall draw CO2 out of the air but it's not anywhere as efficient as you think it is.
