Francisco Franco told me in a dream I had about fighting in the Spanish Civil War that corruption is the greatest disability a nation can have, and it got me thinking.

Through my life I've made friends with people of many ideologies (mainly from the HOI4 community) and I've noticed that one thing that's common, whether in the most right or left wing groups is that they hate (((those))) big lobbying groups, I've met nationalists who hated lobbying groups supporting H1-B visas, I've met socialists who hated anti-healthcare lobbyists, I know millenials who hate Obama because he bowed to bank lobbyists. The one thing these groups had in common was that they absolutely hated corruption.

Younger people (16-25), like you, like me, have more in common with other younger people than we do with the big wigs of whatever political party we support. If you bite your tongue for a little bit and are willing to shake hands, there will be plenty of mutual agreement to be found.

My proposition to you is this, make some sort of compromise with more moderate left wingers to push a basic democratic reform agenda.
I've had talks with some friends of mine, who're mostly nationalists save for one liberal who've seen these ideas so far, heres what I have.

1.) Instate an age limit on anyone who can run for federal office, likely 62 to match when you can pull Social Security. Alongside this, forbid dual-citizens from holding governor, senator, congressman or (vice)presidential positions.

2.) Repeal the citizens united case, and forbid any political organisation to donate more than 250k per year. Corruption hurts us all.

3.) Instate term limits for congressmen. Everyone's heard of this one.

4.) Ranked choice voting. Basically the two insane asylums we call parties (Republican and Democrat) are bloated and full of corrupt assholes. With ranked choice voting, it'll offer some diversity in who gets elected.

5.) My personal favourite, mandatory IQ tests for voters. The big problem with IQ tests back in the day was that blacks would get exceptionally hard tests despite not being allowed in schools, but now that people actually get taught to read, write and count past ten, there aren't really any reasons to still ban IQ tests for voters. It'd definitely help with a lot of this countries problems.

Again, this is a very rough draft, so I'm trying to get ideas from across the political spectrum.

I think this along with social changes that would reduce left wing radicalization of the youth would have great benefit over the next few generations

I'd say it could reduce radicalization in general, because it would give more variety in parties so people arent so firmly split down the middle.
