They should be reporting them to the police, not beating them.
If they assault them, the pedo will have a much easier time avoiding legal punishment and I'm guessing they don't even report them to the police because then they would also get punished for beating the pedo. All this results in is teenagers satisfying their urge for violence and pedos becoming more careful.
