He hated jews because in the 50s and 60s they were still stereotyped as communists and associated with leftist subversion. Being pro-Israel and pro-Jewish wasn't seen as a fundamental tenet of conservatism or a way to signal anti-leftism in Rockwell's lifetime, but it obviously is now and Rockwell would have shifted his views accordingly. Rockwell was first and foremost a fanatical anti-communist and conservative American patriot, not a nazbol third worldist or Jew-obsessed schizo.
