In fact, it always has been. In the medieval era, free people (nobles and city dwellers) were allowed to carry weapons at all times. Only the clergy and the goycattle (peasants) were prohibited from carrying a sword. In the 21st century, we the people are not allowed to carry a weapon either. Guess where that puts us.

well, these shootings are truly caused by socioeconomic factors, not the abundance of guns. guns are widespread in the US since the dawn of that country, school shootings are a thing since only the 80s
