Back in the 90's when you had a variety of music artists of all styles from races that genuinely cared about their craft and what they were doing people naturally gravitated towards it. Same with movies. When had a film like Blade or Men in Black that feature a top African American star like Wesley Snipes and Will Smith (back before he became cringe), people were entertained by it because the makers weren't trying to promote an identity politics agenda. They did it with care and intentions of entertaining an audience. You barely get that anymore. 95% of the time everything is always politically motivated and it turns people off.
