1991-2008 usa and western europe sounds like the closest thing to heaven
>peak of technology without the negatives
>the west was at the absolute peak of its power
>most westerners were not self-hating yet. people still had pride in their countries
>people still respected the ideas of freedom of speech and individual liberty
>most people were economically comfortable, even if they weren't rich
>highest social mobility in the world
>low-level of immigration, enough to create a tolerable level of diversity, but not enough to displace the white majority of europe/north america
>1.8-2.0 tfr for whites
>huge amount of kino music albums, films, TV series, and video games being released in this era.
>people were happy, positive, and optimistic about the future. people believed things would only get better
absolutely magical

It's better right now.

The only thing "better" right now is the crime rate. Everything else is mostly shit compared to the 90's and the early 2000's. Especially if we're talking about media and pop culture. Modern politics is basically a subreddit or 4chan forum. It's objectively shit.

TSMT. I remember seeing a study that US citizens overall were the happiest they've ever been in that era

"Diversity" in all fields feels way too forced now, especially in movies. Back in the 90's when you had a variety of music artists of all styles from races that genuinely cared about their craft and what they were doing people naturally gravitated towards it. Same with movies. When had a film like Blade or Men in Black that feature a top African American star like Wesley Snipes and Will Smith (back before he became cringe), people were entertained by it because the makers weren't trying to promote an identity politics agenda. They did it with care and intentions of entertaining an audience. You barely get that anymore. 95% of the time everything is always politically motivated and it turns people off.

I agree. I was just baiting tbh. You summed it up really well.
I soy out so hard whenever I see stuff from the 2000s when I didn't even live to experience it myself.
