the iron/steel, cotton and lumber industry would have lost stock value because hemp grows in 3 months and can make building fiber as strong as lumber and steel.

Randolph Hearst help get it banned. they came up with the bright idea that dirty mexicans after working in the fields would rape women on marijuana. so they classified it as class 4 drug
