The original movie was a novelty back in 2009 because it was really visually impressive for the time. I didn't even know we were on the third one until a week ago. They waited way too long to continue making more of them. The whole franchise should have finished wrapping up 6 years ago, but I'm guessing they didn't want to do that much CGI again until it was way cheaper to render.

Doesn anybody even fucking remember avatar? Was that really uhh a milestone in any real way or just another overhyped piece of dogshit from the 2000s or 2010s that everybody wants to ignore?

Maybe yeah. Holy shit does nobody care about this anymore though.

The first movie was a profoundly mid action flick that made so much money because of the novelty of the CGI and a good marketing campaign. Honestly no surprise in that, goycattle is easily lured. What perplexes me is the fact that the second movie was such a great success. Like bro, you've already seen the first movie, you've already seen lots of good CGI in your life, why the FUCK would you go watch avatar 2 and 3? The plot of the first movie was cliched and barely mediocre, nobody remembers a single fucking line from that movie despite the fact that everyone has seen it, why would ANYONE pay money to find out how the story ends?

The vast majority of people can be instructed on what they should like.
