Disagree. It depends on the song but he definetely wrote songs too. Like Burning of The Midnight Lamp,Love or Confusion,May this be Love,One Rainy Wish,Castles Made of Sand,his version of all along the watchtower even if i know he didnt write it,angel,drifting,eazy rider,etc. Lot of sing songy stuff by Hendrix. Not as much as by the "literal boybands" like the kinks the Beatles the hollies the who etc,as much as love,or compared to the velvet underground IN OVERALL FOCUS and Hendrix did have some same tracks which were in fact stoned guitar jamming but still. Like several tracks off the top of my head which definetely follow at least somewhat conventional songstructures.

A lot of people ESPECIALLY CRITICS would argue his wider jammy tracks are what hes most remembered for but some prettymuch folk rock in there aswell. It depends. Some early hard rock.
