Hope you chuds know the only reason he did it was he assumed that the Simpsons would give him the role of Apu, since one of his main supposed issues was that the character was voiced by Whitey and not a trve high-caste Aryan such as himself. However the Simpsons found it easier to just gut the character. Nobody won.
