It used be the antithesis to autists being a very social game. You can find photos from back in the day of people playing it, and its all just normal kids. I remember first finding it as a kid and being blown away by the violence and lack of conceptual restraint. While its not something i would be interested in now, i think its extremely important that there is media aimed at adolescents with serious portrayals of religion and political intrigue. Through the advent of the internet and the infantilization of western adults the bar of entry for the community has since greatly lowered.

However, they can't really do much with it because it has so much well-established lore and aesthetics that make it inherently chuddy. If they started changing stuff too much, it would break the established lore and look too stupid. They tried making female Custodes a thing recently, and the majority of fans shat on it and a lot of us unsubbed from Warhammer+, and they basically never mentioned female Custodes again. That said, the wokoids are still constantly pushing to troonslopify Warhammer, and the GW employees are more leftoid than not, and they seem to engage with the wokoids more on their gay little forums.
