There's this videogame store in my neighbourhood that is selling a pre-owned PS3 superslim for like a 100 bucks. Granted, idk if that pricetag includes the controller and the AC adapters and all that other shieet.
I already know that brick ain't able of reading ps2 discs, but quite frankly, I don't care. It's not like it's almost impossible to find a backwards compatible PS3 fat on sale these days (PS1/X compatibility is still nice thoughbeit).
Is the Super Slim good enough? Should I ask them more about the specific model they have on sale? How hard is it to jailbreak when compared to the other ps3 models? Am I retarded for even thinking about it?

Superslim PS3s should be around 50 bucks, with a controller, working hardrdive, cables and some random disc in the disc tray.
You should better use the extra 50 to buy a brand new DualShock 4 or a thirdparty controller that isn't shit, because DualShock 3s are doomed to fail in no time.

Also, jailbreaking a superslim PS3 is very easy.
There are plenty of up to date tutorials on the 'tube showing how to do it.

And is just as simple as downloading a hybrid firmware onto an usb drive,
installing it as a system update,
and going to the website you like to download and run the homebrew enabler in the PS3 web browser.
