Recently I have discovered that unless I play something very autistic (like Dwarf Fortress) or very casual (like DOOM) I feel bored when playing and extremely empty afterwards. If it requires some "planning" and grinding it feels like I'm wasting my time, working for nothing.

Can anyone else relate? Would post it on 4cuck's /v/ but xhey don't play games.

Yeah kind of. I am not really sure what you mean by "autistic" and "casual" (because you can consider something as Fallout: New Vegas as "autistic"). I've been playing HOI4 recently and while I do think that it's a fun game (if you consider a bar going up and the map changing colours as fun) but it's such a time waster.

I thought about this recently, and I think that game should be fun. It is fun either through being "training machine for the mind" (autistic) or instant/near instant gratification with little sweat (casual). Anything other than this sucks because it is like having a digital chore
