Certain Ukrainians and South Russians (including Rostov) are genetically closer to Sarmatians than Poles. A random Cossack peasant from the Don, other place om the Kuban, the Dnieper or Zaporizhia was genetically closer to Sarmats and has more Proto-Indo-Iranic ancestry than a Polish nobility Złachta family member.
