Idk, but the first time I realized I understand spoken stream of English was when I was watching some co-op wii mario walkthrough when I was 17 or 18.
It was kinda mindblowing.
I had a similar thought when I listened to some French video about Jupiter, but I was more familiar with terminology. Later I didn't catch up listening to something in a French news channel.
I remember understanding 90% of some Russian or Ukrainian content, but these languages are too similar for me to be amazed.
