I was gonna write down a list of reasons why latam soyboys generally only consume American media, but then remembered the chilean movie "Una mujer fantástica" (some SNCA drama about some tranny stealing inheritance from a family, he's the good guy in the end) and realized probably these shitty drama movies are the biggest source of soyboy media downhere

latin cinema is either "MUH HECKIN SOCIOPOLITICAL CRITIQUE!!!!" or an unfunny comedy that only middle aged men like, thats why movies like El Paramo (which are movies that don't rely on the "YOU VILL WATCH NATIONAL PRODUCT" shit and try to tell a actually decent story) are special but rare to me. i kinda sound like a mulletjak here geg but its what i think about it
