>>54658I have to disagree with this, but i do things differently. While i do daily calculations, my goal is WEEKLY caloric intake, with the goal of 12k a WEEK. IF i have a deviation, like pizza Tuesday, memorial day weekend, or if my wife wants to eat out at a new restaurant then i work those into the weekly calculations. I adjust the next few days accordingly. IF i have too many dinner plates one week, well that just means next week i add an extra plate to the weight machine. So far this has worked out.
For me, this helps a lot. Mostly with nutrition. Yes i count calories but my end goal is fiber and protein. So there are other benefits outside of weight loss and nutrition.
Now for the non-fit benefits: Budgeting and prepping. with budgeting i determine what i want to eat the next week, buy accordingly, and save money. This cuts down on food waste, this cuts down on meal prep time, and this cuts down on stress.
For prepping i can determine what to stock pile, what to forage for, and how often i may need to hunt. I don't think any of that will be necessary. However i AM a schizo nerd and planning stuff like that is fun.
Truthfully these arguments would be like plumbers and carpenters arguing over which tool is better. You do what works for you in your situation. Not everyone has access to a gym, some people are poor or they are teens who have neglectful unsupportive parents. Those guys need the unorthodox help like calisthenics.
